Level 1 – Surfski Beginners Lessons

By choosing the Level-1 program you will get a complete initial training. The program is aimed at people who have no previous relationship with the kayak and includes the following:

• Equipment theory and analysis.
• Simulation of technical rowing and balance exercises on land.
• Proper use of body and legs, rowing technique and analysis of rowing hits.
• Warm up with a suitable exercise program on the beach.
• Practice at sea, correct posture.
• Keeping track, upwinds, downwinds and sides.
• Turning technique, use of rudder.
• Practice re-entering the surfski boat after falling into the sea.

  At the end of the program, you will be able to paddle at a pace of mild to moderate wind and wave intensity, travel relatively long distances, maintain your course and perform controlled turns.

  The Level-1 program consists of 5 modules, lasting 60 minutes each.

Level 2 – Surfski Advanced Lessons

The Level-2 program is aimed at anyone who has completed Level-1 and wants to continue learning the full sport of Surfski. Includes the following:

• Theory and analysis of advanced equipment.
• Improving technical rowing and balance exercises on land.
• Improving body posture, effective use of the legs in the rowing technique.
• Optimization of rowing hits with emphasis on rowing rhythm.
• Warm up with a suitable exercise program on the beach.
• Advanced practice at sea and long distance practice.
• Entering the wave and exploiting the energy of the wave.
• Practice re-entering the boat after falling in conditions of strong waves.
• Security techniques.

 Upon completion of the course, you will have a complete image of the sport and will be able to do Surfski yourself in all conditions. You are now addicted to surfing at high speeds and ready to travel long distances at sea.

 The Level-2 program consists of 5 modules, lasting 60 minutes each

  We recommend that you continue the training in the Group Training Departments that operate in our School on a monthly basis.

Level 3 – Surfski Downwind Clinic

Downwind is the ultimate level in Surfski learning, but it is also the purpose of the sport.

Necessary condition is the completion of Level-2. Downwind training is a private lesson by an experienced instructor and is done when the wind conditions allow, over 15 knots. Includes the following:

• Theory and analysis of downwind technique.
• Warm up with a suitable exercise program on the beach.
• Entrance to the sea and start for the classic route Loutsa-Vravrona 8 km long.
• Surfing and exploitation of wave energy.
• The return is with schools car by road.

 With the completion of Level 3 – Downwind Clinic, you will now be addicted to surfing. You will be able to safely participate in the group downwinds that are regularly organized by our school.

 The Level-3 – Downwind program lasts 2 hours.

  We recommend that you continue the training in the Group Training Departments that operate in our School.
